This is a four days safari starting Nairobi and ending at Nairobi with a visit to Masai Mara and lake Nakuru National Park which makes it the best short safari in Kenya. Both parks have a lot to offer in terms of game and have the best lodges and camps not to mention the beautiful landscape of the Great Rift valley and thousands of Flamingos at Lake Nakuru National Park and wildebeest migration from Serengeti to Masai Mara from July through to September.
Itinerary at glance:
Day 1 – Depart for the drive to Masai Mara. Afternoon game drives and overnight at your camp/lodge – FB
Day 2 – Full day spent on game drives with all meals and overnight at your camp/lodge – FB
Day 3 – Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Overnight Flamingo Hill Camp/Lion Hill Lodge – FB
Day 4 – Drive to Nairobi
Full Itinerary:
DAY 1: 0800hrs depart from Nairobi to Masai Mara via Narok arriving in time for lunch at Mara Fig Tree or similar. Afternoon game drives in search of game. Overnight at Mara Fig Tree or similar - FB
DAY 2: Day spent on game drives with all meals at the camp/lodge. Dinner and overnight at Mara Fig Tree Camp or similar - FB
DAY 3: Early breakfast. Depart on game drive en route out of Mara for the drive to Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch at Flamingo Hill Camp. Afternoon game drives in search of game like, Rhino, lions, leopard, buffalo among others and a lot of bird species including thousands of Flamingos in the lake. Dinner and Overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp
DAY 4: Depart for the drive to Nairobi with a short game drive out of the park arriving early for lunch at the famous Carnivore restaurant in Nairobi. Later transferred back to your hotel/ Airport or continue with other Lilac Adventures itinerary.
Upon check-in your camp/Lodge:
your guide will arrange a time convenient for your late afternoon game drive and on when you return to the lodge for dinner and over night, your
guide will make suggestions about a departure time for a game drive in the morning. He will however take your direction on what time you would like
to start your in depth game drives for the day or what time to depart for your next destination.
